Volusia County is hosting a public meeting Thursday in DeLand on plans to widen Orange Camp Road.
From 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. attendees will be able to look at conceptual graphics of the proposed widening, which would extend from just west of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway to the Interstate 4 interchange, Pat Kuehn, county spokeswoman, said.
At 6 p.m. there will be a short presentation on the traffic analysis and design concept, and at 6:30 p.m. members of the county’s Engineering and Construction Division will answer questions and take suggestions and comments from residents, Kuehn said.
Traffic impacts on Orange Camp Road are one of the concerns that have come up during meetings in DeLand and Lake Helen related to the nearby I-4 Automall project.
The meeting will be at the Sanborn Activity Center, 815 S. Alabama Ave.
